Rebuild the Walls of the Entertainment World

All Beloved,
I have with me a brochure published by Touch Entertainment Pte Ltd with the front cover printed Charles Finney's words: "The theatre are FULL because the world lies well... The sanctuaries are EMPTY because the church tells the truth poorly." It is based on these words that TE launches its works with its mission "to touch the hearts of Asians around the world through the medium of Art, Film, Music and Live Performance, for the transformation of society." In its statement it says, "In the works are movies and live performances that we hope will raise the banner of Christian excellence and integrity in the entertainment scene." While I am not disputing the use of media to reach the lost, I wonder which part of the Bible commands us to rebuild the walls of the entertainment world. I only know of the promises of rebuilding the temple and the city of Jerusalem after the exile of the Jews in OT and the promises of eternal life and New Jerusalem in NT. On the contrary, the Bible warns us in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 that "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God -- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them." Any comment? Joe
