There was a story told that a man who kept his single talent (money) hidden and buried, afraid that he might lose it since His Master is a very calculative person, was condemned and thrown out of His Master's house. We know the story well enough and how those who doubled their invested money were eventually rewarded. Question: Did they receive their reward when the Master is away or after He returns?
Why are Christians so hard on one another whenever money becomes the issue? If a church has a gaint building and thriving congregation, should we take that as a curse or a thankful blessing from God? Why allow Satan to tempt us into covetness of our neighbours' success? If the Buddists are so frevent in "preaching" their "gospel" through worldly means, that is because they are aware that these are "passing clouds". You have it only here and now. Once you "passon", you are no longer in control of the things of this world. They are using all resources to forward their cause. What are you doing with yours? We often look at the "Mega" churches and scoff at their huge budget. But do we know their financial state and how they use their funds? How many other organisations they are supporting and what they are doing to promote the awareness of Christianity? God is Perfect, and you should be! He doesn't just shine His light on the good, but the wicked too. He send forth rain for both and give them life. To Him, there is no preferences. Don't look at what God is doing with others, look at what God has given you and how He wanted you to established His will. Only unity in love for Christ will show forth the glory of God. If you are not prepared to lose everything for the sake of Christ, you will gain nothing for Him.
