Hi Keith,

Oops! I think my formula did not clearly explained what I mean. I apologised for that. I believe that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ(refer to my "The Gospel I preached" message), that is to say, we are accounted righteous by faith in Jesus Christ. But what is faith? TRUE/PERFECT faith will produced works.

Allow me to try again. How about this

Faith = Work = Righteous

Faith in Christ produce works and thus accounted righteous.

As for your formula, Faith = Righteous + Work, I think it does not support your belief either. If you take away the "work", you are left with partial/half faith which is what I am trying to say.

Faith = Righteous + ( )

If you believe faith will produce work, then you should agree with me that Faith = Work. You see work, you see faith. Those who does not obey the commandments(Works) of God, can I say that they do not have faith(I mean TRUE/PERFECT faith)?.

If it is not troublesome, I would like to hear your interpretation of James 2:20-24.

With regards to Abraham, he was accounted righteous before Isaac was born. There are 2 reasons.

1) He was the chosen nation.

2) He has faith in God. He showed his faith by obeying the commandments of God. See Genesis 12:1-4. What happen if he did not obey God and instead stay in his country?. Does he still consider faithful?.

I hope I have clarified my stand.
