I got stuck too LBS. Fortunately, God brought me Watchman Nee, who argued that the key is this understanding of ABIDE IN ME, and I IN YOU. Most of us Christians are on either plane of understanding. Some only Abide in Christ.....and stop there....hence, we do not bear abundant fruit. Some are having Christ in us..... again....unbalanced....we do not bear abundant fruit. Which is why, Christ said. Apart from Me, you shall bear no fruit. Hence, we have to cling onto Christ, AND Christ has to live in us. A bi-step approach. Or what Watchman Nee argues as Objective and Subjective stands, and Scripture is full of them. Hence, we can be in Christ, and not bear fruit, because we have not allowed Christ to be moulded in us (I in you). 10-cents worth of sharing. royston |
