Anyway, I believe that if your pastor/teacher does not teach on this subject, then I shall leave it as that. For I believe that it is more important to adhere to what your church teaches you, so that you will grow in your faith in the Lord. Ultimately, your pastor/teacher has the spiritual responsibility over you, and not me. As for myself, I have been attested by my Senior Pastor, and has been found sound in Biblical understanding, so if others are unable to see the truth, then maybe they are not ready to know what the Holy Spirit has to teach the Church. LBS, if you really wish to find out more on Jn 15:1-6. Just spend about 3 hours reading Bruce Wilkinson's Secrets of the Vine, and draw your own conclusion. Whatever I have explained, cannot be compared to what Bruce has exegetically expounded in detail. Honestly, I am not the only person who adheres to what Bruce has to teach the Church from Jn 15. Many who have read his second book are agreeable with what he has to say, not from experience, but from the cross-reference of the Word. He does cross-reference in his second book. Better you read his book instead. Lastly, not interested in furthering this discussion, hence would appreciate if I be left out of the loop. Was only trying to explain to you that TL and SBG are curious why my hypothesis was such. Yes, they disagree but they are not ruling out the possibility that this could be a better interpretation, unlike Ivan, and now maybe yourself as well. An advice, when we study theological views: Try to avoid getting "locked" within a certain theological stand, as such a stand is after all man-made. What we should focus on is, what is God's stand on this. God be with you, royston p.s: not interested in discussing, becos I rather focus on other things right now. |
