I am not sure what you mean by the two step conversion. On Wesley's heart warming experience I think Calvinist would say that this was his first born-again experience rather than a post-conversion experience. Remember, it was after this experience that he trusted Christ altogether. It happened when someone was reading Luther's exposition on Romans. Thus true conversion is always the result of the preaching or the ministry of the Word. Yah, Eveline's contribution is the right chapter. You'll learn some shocking things form this chapter about faith. One of them is the gifts of the Spirt in 1 Cor 12 can also be operated by the wicked. Hence the gifts of the Spirt proves nothing.
