hi brother,
really appreciate your words of advice. i find them laden with love and well-balanced in the truth of God's Word. will definitely spend some time to speak and pray with my pastors before i make any final decision (as to whether to move on to another church). regarding my suggestion for me to be absolved from my responsibilities in church, i did not say that in jest. the fact is that some of the church leaders are obviously very uncomfortable with me, and have even suggested "demoting" me - a rather drastic measure, don't you think? so i thought it might make things easier for them by relinquishing my roles as cellgroup leader and sunday school teacher, until they can come to a definite decision. i have no qualms at all with no holding any official titles in church. what breaks my heart is that i won't be able to serve God in church by sharing His wonderful Word with my fellow brothers and sisters. i agree with you that it might not be entirely appropriate for me to discuss this matter openly in this forum. but i did not think that my church leaders are prepared to hear me out, and was rather "desperate" for some advice as what i should do next. thanks for your kind words of reminder and encouragement. in His Grace, keith
