Assuming you live in Singapore, for people like you I think either the Methodist or Anglican church will be your best bet. In these churches you are quite free to be what you want to be. Not all Anglican churches are the same. There is a variety of services to choose from ranging from the strictly historical type, using the old King James English, to the modern disco type. Methodist churches are less variable I think, (ask Royston), but they have good fellowship. You will have to shop around and see what suits you best. Btw, I've spent about 6 years shopping around for a suitable church after I left my first church. Like you, I also don't know why there is so much division among the churches. I gave up on this question some years ago. Once you are a member of a church you have to respect the leaders even if you don't agree with everthing they say. Otherwise the organization cannot function. Even if you don't agree with the pastor you still have to respect the chair. Bye Bye: |
