i think we both stand on the same side.
but our emphasis may differ slightly. you see, i would not have put as much emphasis on "denying self" as you did in your postings. i feel that there may be a risk of shifting the focus to "self" even though the objective is to deny self. it is like if i keep reminding myself to forget something, the result is that i'll be "reminding" myself of that thing instead of "forgetting" it. so i think if i keeping emphasising on the need to deny self, i may end up "emphasising" self rather than "denying" self. hope you understand what i'm trying to say here. but i'm sure we both agree that Jesus Christ and the Cross is central in our faith.
