Hi LBS,

you wrote: Would you want to disobey His Word and continue to teach people otherwise, telling them it is fine if they want to remain as immature children as far as understanding of God’s Word is concerned. I believe the Father wants every child of His to behave.

i write: if i'm not wrong, i believe we both stand on the same side regarding how we should see (and teach others see) our Father, and how we should understand our salvation which is solely by grace.

but i reckon that you may have misread me somewhere. i did not say i want to disobey my Father's Word and go around teaching people that it is fine to perceive Him inaccurately, (and as a result, cause them to handle the life-and-death issue of salvation incorrectly).

my approach is to focus on teaching people what i know to be true. (which may not the same as attacking their views which i don't agree with). i will just leave it to them to decide if i'm indeed speaking truth from the Word.

an analogy (not a very good one, but please make do with it, okay?): when i try to convince a girl to become my girlfriend, i would never resort to a strategy of bad-mouthing my competition (although it is tempting, and may in fact be beneficial for me to do so). instead, i would just focus on getting the girl to see all my plus points.

you see, i'm confident that my good points alone is good enough.

i understand that you may prefer a more "balanced" strategy of showing off you strenghts, and at the same time revealing your competition's weakensses.

but that's your preferred approach. i have mine.

so, i hope you see that we don't really differ much in our view of the issues (Who our Father really is, and how we are truly saved by grace), but we differ when it comes to the approach (of teaching others about the truths concerning those issues).

blessings,

Keith
