Dear Keith, Just some sharing, refer to the Gospel according to Luke 13:18-22-30. "Try your best to enter by the narrow door, because, I tell you, many will try to enter and will not succeed". The a/m verse is refering to those who missed their place in the Lord's Banquet. Why? Not because they never accepted and got Baptised. But those who aren't prepared for the Host of the Banquet, which is the Lord. (Non-Christians will not be invited because they do not recognise Lord as their savior) You may say the House of God is big enough to accomodate many, but there are only two doors, narrow or broad, we are urged to take the narrow one, to shape ourself so that we may be worthy of Christ's promises, but take note here, not all will succeed, but be encouraged to follow His way, to carry the Cross and He, will open the door, when he knows that you are ready........... In His Grace, Emmanuel (Thirtieth Week in Ordinary Time, Gospel of Wednesday reading.) |
