Re: Ok To Royston on the prodigal son (continue from thread below) (True Light)

I mentioned might include both sinners and fallen saints. :-) not will include. :-)

Anyway, why would fallen saints be included? because these fallen saints are also people who, before they left the Father's house, enjoyed the riches of the Father's possessions. Hence, it agrees with Hebrews 6:4-6. Hence, they wilfully pulled out of it, to lead a life of debauchery.

But having come to their own senses, that even the "servants in my Father's house had better food" than the food they have to resort to pilfering from the swines, becomes blatant to them and it 'hits' them mentally, they will naturally want to seek forgiveness with the Father for being brash and immature. They will then trudge home, HOPING that I will be accepted back, NOT AS A SON, but hopefully as one of the servants of my Father's house.

And because of God's unconditional love, such fallen saints who have realised their folly, will be accepted back into the Father's house. Not as Servants BUT as Sons and Daughters of the Father, with no questions asked.

That is why it is possible to link this to even those who have fallen away.

The Father (God) is always welcoming us back into His arms, once we have realised our folly (or come to our senses). That is why we can link Christ's prayer for Peter in Luke 22:31-32: "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."

The "turn back" here is the strengthening of his belief in Christ, once he has come to his senses that He is truly our Lord and Saviour. Likewise, for those who fall away, when turned back, they are to be testimonies of Christ immeasurable love, in order to strengthen their brothers who might be in that wilful state as well.

Pray it brings a clearer understanding on this matter.
