Anyone knows if one started late in receiving Christ, will it be a disadvantage to him/her. I mean in comparing with someone who has received earlier.
My question may seem naïve but I just want to have a better understanding.
Though our sins are forgiven but I have heard that one may received a reward different from the others which seems to me quite sensible as in the scriptures. So if one has received Christ before death, can I say he/her miss the opportunity of using their time for the LORD. ( I mean according to what we understand and from our perspective point of view.) As the scriptures mentioned in Rev. 22:12 “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.” I know the LORD saves us not because of our work …but can it be those who are saved may receive rewards based on how they have use their time on earth for the LORD. Take for example, if there were three Guys: A, B & C; all of them have a life span of 80 years each. Both Guy A & B received Christ at age of 30 whereas Guy C received Christ on his deathbed or coming close to his end of life on earth. After born again, Guy A uses his time wisely for the LORD but not for Guy B till he realised towards the end of his life . Should I say that both Guy B & C even though they are forgiven of their sins but they won’t be able to do anything about their time loss for the LORD. So is there something can be done for people who wasted their time on earth ? Can time loss be redeemed ? So can I say being forgiven is one thing, being “good and faithful servant” is another thing.
