Jesus inferior to the Father?

I am sure that this has been discussed before. A lot of the words that the Lord spoke indicates that he is 'lower' than the Father. Care to discuss?
[John 8:42] Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded and came forth from God; I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. [John 10:29] My Father, who has given them to me, is *greater than all*, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
