Re: Question What is fallen from grace based on the word? (Eternally Saved)
Date: 2001, Nov 03
From: Bill Roth bmadroth

Hi,

The term "fallen from grace" is only used *one time* time in the Bible.

Gal.5:4 (KJV}

   "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever
   of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace"

So to be fallen from grace is to be "justified by the law"

In other words, those who attempt to earn their justification by the works of the law are "fallen from grace".

Justification was reckoned to us by Christ's sacrifice at the cross. It is a gift of grace. Those who "work" for justification fail to realize the greatness of what Jesus acomplished, thus his acomplishment becomes of "no effect" to them . . . . They are fallen from grace

God Bless,

Bill
