Hi brother:

I also wish that the percentage is lower..sigh..

Of course if you talk about the gospel, primarily it means the only way to heaven is Jesus..that most evangelical got it right...no problem with that.. :)

But the gospel is more..it is about the thoroughness and completeness of Jesus's work that now not only are you forgiven, God now favours you. He's sees you Holy, acceptable, righteous. In fact, you are as righteous as Jesus. He sees you in Christ. He don't deal with you after your sins anymore but in Christ.

It is about God who do not impute sin to the sinner (us) but righteousness. When we became a Christian, we are like a butterfly. Butterfly loves flowers but sometimes, they do end up in the rubbish dump too occasionally. Do u became a catepillar just because you landed in the rubbish..no.

Just like a christian will still struggle with areas and habits in their lives, God stills sees them righteous, holy and blameless becos He see them in Christ and thru Christ. As a result, we can talk to God anything and he will hear and answer us.. without feeling inferior just because we didn't read the bible, pray, give or serve him. We don't becomes a catepillar just becos we sin. We always stand before him righteous and acceptable.

He blesses us becos of Jesus. IN fact, Jesus is an overpayment for your sin. Assuming that all the sins of the world is equivalent to the cost of a bicycle, God paid with Rolls Royce. When we sin, God id not surprise and did not fall of His Throne. What He want us to know is that He do not hold our sin and mistakes against us. As a result, we can come before HIM without feeling guilty and unworthy knowing that Jesus is our acceptance before him.

No many Christian believes that Jesus Work is good enough for our daily blessing. They can believe that His sacrifice is good for getting us to Heaven. But for God's blessing, we have to pray, fast, serve, give etc etc. They have missed the gospel.

These good thing we will do, effortlessly as these are fruits..we dont have to strain and strive to bear fruits. We just rest in his love.. have a consciousness of His unconditional acceptance of us and we will bear fruits...it will be so effortless.

I have seen many got burnt out becos they just feel that deep inside, they were never good enough for God to bless them. many quit ministry, others leave church.. If you have been a christian long enough, you will know what I am talking about..

We will serve and love God, but that is first knowing that He first love and accept us unconditionally.. that he sees us Righteous when we fall and miss it , intentionally or unintentionally..

In summary this is what I am trying to bring across:

1) Jesus + our faith in His Word (concerning Salvation) = tickets to heaven 2) Jesus' Work + our belief in his goodness and love for us to bless us = faith, fruits of the spirit, victory, blessing, joy, communion, holiness, miracles, breakthough etc etc.

Not Jesus + long prayer + bible reading + witness + good behaviour + service + our faithfulness = blessing ( This is what Paul talk about in Galatians : fallen from Grace)

However, if you follow point 2, you will have joy, want to (not have to) read the Word, pray, serve ..all out of the abundance of the goodness of God towards you.

YOu will do all this without much effort because he put the " Want To " in you instead of " Have To".
