I agreed with you that Ivan has a good heart..no doubt about that..in fact, I haven't come across a believer that do not have a good heart yet ...really I am not kidding :) The point I want to make is this... like what Jesus said to the Pharisees : "Even if you do not believe in the word I say, at least believe based on the miracles I do" Or Elijah who taunt the prophets of Baal, pray harder, shouter louder maybe your God is asleep... You see, the proof that your God is real is in the way he moves in your lives in a consistent basis. Actually, much discussion sometimes is good but sometimes not necessary..why? Why spend so much time arguing back and forth..Like a old preacher say : DOn't just preach Jesus, show him ( meaning casue his power to manifest to a world needing help) A right belief will lead to a victorious living..that's the will of God. And this victorious living something takes time.. as we renewed our mind to the word of God. I am not saying that we don't live Holy or do good works..but all these things are fruits..things that we cannot bear by our own self effort or will-power no matter how sincere we are... We need a saviour.. God know we will not make it not just to heaven, but also in our walk, because of our fallen flesh that has yet to be redeem. That's why Jesus' acceptance before the Father is our acceptance before the Father.. That's why He does not deal with us after our outward Flesh or sin. He dealt with us after our spirit..which is always Holy, righteous, well pleasing in his sight no matter what we do... remember He called Gideon a mighty warrior when he was hiding and full of fear.. He call Abraham a father of many nation when he was childless. He call Lazarus asleep when he is dead. That's God..that's How he operates..He don't look at our outward sin. He dealt with our inward spirit..HE call us righteous and Holy..We stand before him totally whole and perfect..just like Jesus would stand before him..we are as righteous ...as sinless and guiltless as Jesus. What is the result of such a blessed state..you are free from condemnation...you have confidence towards God..not because you have always behaved in a acceptable manner but because Jesus has paid the price for your sin even the sins you have not even commit yet... With this confidence in the total acceptance of God, it will result in a lot of answered prayer as faith will be a by product of it..Knowing that God is so good towards you.. That's why trying to earn God's favour by becoming a better person, good behaviour and good works will not make it. Jesus is the only sacrifice for sin and blessing for your lives, others are just dead works if you try to come before God with it.( hebrews talk about it) That's why I put up this proposal...if you think you are right, there will be tangible fruits..in evry area of your lives or in the lives of your friends who shared the same belief... Why not shared it ? I believe that God is a good God that blesses us irregardless of our actions. If you believe it, there will be a lot of testimonies to show for it.. Or you can believe that you have to live a holy life for God to bless you with anything..fine..show me some testimonies that God is moving recently in your lives... If you have nothing to show, then what is the different between your God and the god that the heathen worship..
