I respect your quote but this is a copped out answer.. Just because someone fall during Billy Graham's time mean that we don't need the blessing of God now? What is your point? How do you tell someone who need $50,000 every month for the staff's pay roll ? How do you tell a young man of 18 who has a brain tumour? What do you tell someone who is married for 3 months and the husband is comtemplating a divorce ? Or people who come with Aids? Imagine the look on their bewildered face when I tell them your quote: "Together, let's go for the finishing line to receive "the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." Hello brother, we have some real problems here and we live in a real world..please tell me..do you all always run from problem by giving copped out answers? Are you living in la la land ? We need God to move here brother..soon and fast..not wait until you get your acts right.. And please explain what do you mean when you say : "What is there to boast about the miracles and signs and wonders if there is lawlessness or disobedience ". This one, I reakky don't get it. I already explain many times that we receive though Jesus' finished work and not our self effort (I am beginning to doubt that you read my posting at all) Are you calling Jesus work is not good enough for us to be blessed ? Or are you calling Jesus' work "lawlessness or disobedience " What do u mean ? I don't get it... The testimonies that I am ready to share, it is all about God's goodness and through the work of his Son, He is able to bless us and you( if you believe it). Do you know what kind of spirt call Jesus' Sign and Wonders works of the devil ( lawlessness and disobedience ) ? The Pharisical spirit - the same people taht grieves jesus with their law and self effort when He was on earth. If there any boasting, it is that God is so good that He overlook our sin and imperfection to bless us. God favours us and delight to show himself strong for us..After all , I already told you so many times that we do not have any good works or deed to show but to trust him and he has shown himself strong everytime. Not having any good works doesn't mean that we are wallowing in sin. It just mean that we are enlightened enough to know that nothing counts when it comes to God's blessing except Jesus' Work.. "Like Paul would say to you : I do not want to know anything about you except Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.." Do u know why u give such answer, because you have nothing to share...that's the bottom line..God is not moving..or should I say..rarely move...because you are too busy trying to earn his approval, blessing by your holiness and sanctifications. How do I know..I was there believing the same lie like you tens years ago and nothing is happening except a heap of head knowledge.. Thank God..for the truth.. We can almost expect him to move everyday because He is Good. The goodness of God will produce Holy living..not self will and determinations.. In this end times, if you still don't know that God is good and that he is for you and answers you even when you are still imperfect, you will get a heart attack when troubles knocks on your door.. So should I give you a new proposal..for every good testimony ( I am not talking about God supplied two crackers when you are hungry kind of stuffs) that you share about what God is doing, I will share 3..how's that ? Or let me make it easier, I won't use testimony shared in Church..just among cell groups..lead by lay leaders.. lest you say God moves because the full time Pastor prayed.. :) How Good ? :)
