Hi,
The Bible is not clear about the salvation of children for obvious reasons. Can you imagine what if the Bible says that these children will just qualify for heaven without hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ and make decisions for Him. What will be the consequences? It will be unthinkable. Children will be at the mercy of the irresponsible parents who will care less about raising their children and subjecting them to the wicked wealthy ones for their selfish gains knowing that they will make it to heaven no matter what. Just imagine the atrocities that can be carried out against children will reach unprecedented proportions. I shudder to think about it. However, I would like to think that children before the age of accountability will have their names written in God's Book of Life. Paul in the epistle of Rom Chapter 7, highlighted the law of sin operating when there is knowledge of God's holy commandments. When that happens, the law of sin produces death and at this point(aka age of accountability), the person needs deliverance from sin's captivity and death (include spiritual death). Paul was so desperate and felt so wretched and helpless that he asked this question in v 24, "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?" You will agree with me that he has tasted the goodness of the Lord in his conversion experience on Damascus Road. He was so greatly relieved and rejoiced that he exclaimed in v 25, "I thank God - through Jesus Christ our Lord!..." PLEASE DONT QUOTE ME! Father God knows best. Jesus blesses the little children as recorded in Lk 18:16,17 (NKJV).
But Jesus called them to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
"Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." God blesses the little children,
