Hi, If one's country is attacked by an enemy the christian will be subjected to the same stresses and hardships just like the non-christian. The enemy will not separate the christians from the rest of the people and put them in a first class hotel or something like that. Military service is a necessity and one's attitude is very important. One has to believe in what one is doing. You are training for a purpose and you will be glad should the need arise. It may be hard and tough but it will make you a stronger christian. Your faith will of course be tested but then whose faith is not tested. Take it easy and don't worry too much. You don't have to maintain your christian life like the way you maintain a car or a motor-bike. If your faith is real you'll always be in Christ no matter how tough it is. There are lots of real christians in the US and British Armed Forces and may be you can get some inspiration from them. All of us who live in the free world can only do so if we have strong armed forces. So cheer up and believe that you are doing something great. Remember, no matter how small your contribution is, the free world depends on people like you. So onward christian soldier. |
