I am inspired by the testimonies that True light shared.. I thought maybe I can also share some that I know are happening around me..
I think more than just arguing about theology ( which is fine), it is a place for fellow believers to see what God is doing in others' lives. After all the kingdom of God is about power, not just words.. As we are all working adults in Singapore, I thought it will be good to share how God can move in our work when we rely on HIM. Just 3 testimonies to start.. ============================================================ A certain brother in my care group is in the IT/ ECA business. They sell their service to schools.. Before I start, this brother is totally sold out to the Grace and Mercy and goodness of God. He was doing some promotion for his products in the school canteen during recess. After 1 week, there was only 8 who signed up for his ECA activities. Naturally, he is still trusting God for more as they are 3 - 400 hundreds that he is targeting. The principal was asking him how was the sign up and he told the principal only 8 sign up so far.. The principal was appalled. He said how can they students not sign up for such a good program... U know what the pricipal did ? He told this brother that because he himself believe in the programs, he would want force the whole level of 3-400 students to go through it using the school training funds.. can u believe it.. for 1 whole week, u get 8 customer... but when God moves, He can sweep the whole entire level into your fold.... Ridiculous? yes. Praise God...He is good... He just love to bless His Children doesn't he ? ============================================================= Another incident happens when he was holidaying in Australia. His staffs from the office called him excitedly, telling him that they have just gotten a major deal from a school for their training services. A few hundreds students deal also.. The problem is, this brother of mine is confused when the staff told him that he has closed the deal. He has visited the schools but he can't remember giving the school any quotations yet. IN fact, he was thinking of doing it when he comes back from Australia. He later found out that actually, what happens is the head of department of that school made a mistake. Instead of faxing the order to the competitors, he made a mistake and fax the order to this brother's company... And when this brother saw the order and the price is higher that what he is about to quote, he just give the quote to the school with the higher price that they are willing to pay.. Ridiculous ? Yes. Does God favour us? yes. Only if you dare to believe that He favour you because of Jesus. NO quote, no follow up but still get the deal... not even taught in marketing schools Moral of the story, if you just rest and trust in his goodness and not our self efforts, he will bless you and move beyond your wildest possible dreams. That's why He always want us to be still, in the finished work of his Son. ============================================================ Now let me share a testimonies of mine that happens last year.. we all know that the economy was bad since the Asian crisis. Nevertheless, my IT businesses grew by about 250% last year. I have never really gone out and canvass for sales for the last 1 and a half year because most of my business has been referral. God has a plan for increase in times of Famine. It is in times like this that you really trust God. His way is always to sow seeds. Is there a economic famine in the land ? yes. God's way..sow..give. I am constantly challenge by God to give. Bear in mind that though you reap what you sow, that is not the primary motive of giving. The primary motive must be that you know that you are rich through Jesus' poverty. Otherwise, you will always be looking for some return and you will be disappointed. My pastor always teach us to trust God for his grace and favour and not rely on own self effort. Before I see my clients, I always confess grace, grace, favour favour to remind me that it is not my hard work but God who prosper. Last year, we closed one of the biggest deal in my career so far with a very big WorldWide Telco company, bigger than Singtel. Just to let you know how ridiculous the situation is.. Before we were awarded this deal by the vendor, I remember the exact words spoken by the lady : " Hey, I don'tknow why I am giving this order to you (me and my partners). Your price is 30% higher that your competitors ( I heard PAcnet is one ) and your company is much much smaller (meaning don't even know if we can deliver )... But, I JUST LIKE YOU ALL !!" She may not know why she like us, but we do praise God..because His favour and grace on our life is just too strong to resist. Now this really freak us out. For my partners and I always pray for God's favour to be upon us and even while we are in the lift to our clients office, we always speak and agree that we will have favour. And the result.. Jesus became the high priest of your confession. If you think that He is good and gracious and want to bless you and just speak to yourself what he is to you, you will see that He will come through in no time. If you htink that God is hard to please, slow to give and always waiting for you to get your acts together before He can bless you, (it is not scriptural) it is also true..for you, for you will get what you believed. ============================================================ Moral of the sharing is this.. We are in the world, but we are not of this world. So what if the world is in recession, my God, my Heavenly Father, my Daddy in Heaven is more than enough for me. World's (flesh's ) way in times like this, get all you can and "can" all you get. Save for a rainy day. God way of increase ? give. But giving alone is not the way out, it's giving with the revelation that He is the source and that He has already made you rich through Jesus' povety that matters and you see that God never fail.. You dont give to get..you give because you believe you already had. This is how the transfer of the wealth of the world will take place. Not by our own power or might, but by His spirit. BTW, the testimony of the brother I shared about is also a ferocious giver. ============================================================ I will share more if I can re-collect and have the time.. Stay Blessed.. ES
