JD,
I believe Jesus taught against greed for and reliance on earthly wealth. But I don't believe He taught against prosperity. I'm sure we all agree that we should not make money our god. But honestly, I have qualms about being blessed with lots of money. Are you are against christians being rich? I give thanks to our Father every time I see my brothers and sisters (and myself) being blessed financially. I have this brother in church who pledges 2/3 of all his sales commission to God. Do you agree that I should pray for God's blessing of prosperity to be on this brother? But of course, I agree with you that our eyes should never be on earthly riches, and we should never serve money. We serve God alone. And we should use money wisely for His work. I really don't have any problem if my Father is to bless me with loads of money. I believe you don't have any problem with that too. Because we know that our eyes are not on the money but on our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen? In His Grace, Keith

Agreed. Prosperity is just one of many blessings from God. It is NOT the ONLY blessings, nor is it the most important. by Keith, 2001, Nov 07
