Just remember that we have to be loving to our brothers and sisters who are still wading in the mud, because of a lack of understanding God's purposes and calling in their lives. Continue in God's favour and blessings. royston JD666, poverty can be viewed in three aspects by a Christian. 1. God wants to teach me something about greed, so that I would learn to surrender greed to Him, in order to break free from sin. 2. God wants me to understand how poor people feel, so that I can emphathise with their situation. 3. God wants me to know that poverty is not meant to be in His plans, His plan is for me to be truly blessed in every aspect of my life, so that I can be a blessing to others, esp the poor. (Acts 2:42) Hence, no one Christian is wrong in their approach to this matter, just indicates that their understanding of God's purposes for them is still in the process of growing spiritually, as God has lots of things to teach us about life, hence all 3 possibilities can apply in any Christian's life. So is the Word of God, otherwise why is it called Rhema (Word Alive)? The Word being made alive to us all, by revealing to us different aspects even from the same passage at times. Hence, my greatest joy is to be able to plough through the same 'old' passage and discover much more things to learn from the Word, than to discover new things in parts of the Bible I have not yet studied. This is probably what it means to have fresh manna every single day. |
