Hi Ivan, Yes o.k. I once lived a very austere and high moral christian life, with all the this cannot and that cannot - no cinemas, no movies, no sexual thoughts, no jokes, etc. In fact when I left the church, I was so unworldly that I was quite lost in the world and I have to relearn agian how to handle the world. In those days I was really, what you might call, spiritually high. I felt great - you know that top of the world feeling? But years later I was to discover that all this was an illusion. I think all I secceeded in doing was to deceive myself. So my personal view is which brand of christianity one follows is very important. As I said this sort of thing cannot be pursued by debating about it. It has to be based on one's experiences. I believe one's understanding of grace is directly proportional to one's understanding of sin and its power. Bye Bye: |
