Hi, Have you heard of the Hubble Space Telescope which was launched in 1990. We can now see about 13 billion light years away from our earth into space - what the Bible calls the firmament. One light year is about 9,500,000,000,000 Km. There are billions of glaxies and nebulae, quasars, blackholes, pulsars, supernovas, etc in the universe. If you believe that God actually manages the universe then you may have some idea how great and intelligent He is. According to Isaac Newton the universe needs God's constant attention. The next time you sing "How great Thou art" it may take on a different meaning for you. Try going for star gazing on a clear dark night. You won't be able to see much in a city. But if you can go to somewhere away form city lights you will be shocked by what you see. If you can identify some of the constallations you will really enjoy it. May be the Singapore Astronomical Society might be able to help you. The Bible says, "The heavens declare the glory of God". Bye Bye: |
