Hi, The heaven in 2 Cor does not refer to the galaxies, etc. It is some sort of a spiritual place and we have no information about it. But the heavens in Genesis 1:1 is cetainly the universe. The following verses talk about the earth, sun, moon and the stars. Though it is only one verse, it covers what we now have in volumes of books on Astronomy and Cosmology. (Don't mix it with Astrology) So are you going to study the night sky? It is a very interesting hobby. You'll understand God better. Oh, btw, those wise men who came to vist Christ at His birth were obviously people who studied the night sky. You said How great Thou art "was" your favorite song.
