Hi TrueLight, I don't know whether there are 1st, 2nd, 4th, ....., ith heaven or not. The Bible doesn't say anything and so I wouldn't know. Concerning that man who was caught up into the third heaven, I think his was probably a similar experience as John had in Revelation. I doubt his body was actually transported to any where. I don't believe anybody, other than the Lord Jesus Christ, can be transported physically to other parts of space. This is because the human body cannot take the conditions up there. It is very cold; above 15000ft it is below 0 deg C and atmosphere is rare and pressure is low. As you go furthur up there will be no more air to breath. A man's body will certainly die at this height. I'm sure you've heard of stowaways in the undercarriage of aircrafts who just drop dead. There is a layer up there called the thermosphere where the temperature is about 1500 K. A human body will become charcoal there. So I don't believe any human being can go up there without a spacecraft. The Lord Jesus Christ could do it because His was a resurrected body which obviously can go through inter-molecular space, since He could go through walls, etc. His body could take on the elements of space and gravity had no effect on Him. We don't know what sort of body His was. But I am certain that no other human being had that kind of body and so I don't believe in the assumption of anybody. One thing you will notice is that the Bible doesn't talk nonsense. It doesn't say anything which can be proven to be wrong with our present scientific knowledge. Bye Bye: |
