Hi all,
What LMOG is trying to point out is that the Gentiles Christians have received the Holy Spirit before water Baptism. And the passage says they also received the gift of speaking in tongues prior to the water Baptism. So in this passage on both counts ie, receiving the indwelling Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues are not dependent on water Baptism which contradicts what Emmanuel posted in his heading (if he means water Baptism). So, water Baptism is not a requirement for receiving the Holy Spirit. If he is speaking about being filled with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the gift of the Holy Spirit, then it is in order. Please clarify.
