Hi Ian, While we keep our minds open and expect God to do 'new' things, we cannot expect Him to do anything that will drive us away from His Son. Frankly I don't see how Jesus is Glorified by a person laughing, barking, sticking to the floor for hours ..etc For me it is really self centered to do that, because it is focusing too much on how one feels ..etc Signs and wonders are normally used in scripture to show to UNBELIEVERS. i.e. when signs and wonders are performed by God, they speak to unbelievers. ( Like tongues in the Acts, miracles Jesus did..etc ) I don't see how this falling phenomenon can do that. On the other hand, as someone pointed out, the holy laughter share many similarities with the occult practices and kundalani practices. That is true. I know of people in india who gets into trances and laugh, bark and also get stuck to walls, floor for long times. If this is the same with toronto , I don't know. Another possibility is that these are very emotional outbursts and psychological states of humans. ( altered states of conciousness ). In anycase, seeing such works in a church service is a bit scary for some. Self-Control is a gift from God. If we cannot have that gift and if one ALWAYS succumb to this, then I have my doubts. I still have not made up my mind to say where this comes from. God could be actually doing something here, BUT, Also Satan and the human Flesh could be at play. Because of this, I prefer to distance myself from this. But, indeed, if Satan, as a deciever, wanted to come into the church, what better way than to pretend to be an angle of light and to pretend to do 'good' things like these manifestations ? huh ? -John666
