Thanks for the quotation of the commentary from this "Spirit Filled Life Bible" - very... enlightening indeed! Or maybe not.
How easily are assumptions made! I have only one question: What is eternal - the healing of the physical body or the spiritual body? To me it's very simple. Life here on earth is only temporal. We are, as Paul implied, trapped in our accursed bodies - which will STILL die. Any physical healing, any so-called joy in this life is nothing compared to the eternal joys we will have with our Father in the next. The joy I have comes not only in observing the beauties of this life, but in knowing that suffering in this life is only temporal and there's a better life to look forward to. Jesus talks a lot about the eternal life. Maybe you need to spend more time looking into it.
