Acts 1:26 says, "And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles." NKJV. "And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias: and he was numbered with the eleven apostles." NASB. "And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles." NRSV. There doesn't seem to be anything about Matthias "casting in his lot with the rest of the apostles" in the verse. It is quite clear that they cast their lots or drew lots for the two candidates, whatever that was suppose to mean at that time. But do you think it was Matthias or St Paul who was suppose to be the 12th apostle as far as God is concerned? I think the NT is quite clear on this. Bye Bye: |

Hey Ivan, all your "castings" doesn't make any sense to me; but not to worry. n/t. by Interested , 2001, Nov 22
