66/40 Chuck Missler Innovative and exciting Biblical teaching that connects the Bible to science, prophecy, your life and the world events occurring around you.

************************************************ Greg Laurie OK.. A New Beginning

The senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, Greg Laurie began his pastoral ministry at age 19 by leading a Bible study of 30 people. Today, that small group has grown into a church of some 15,000 people, making it one of the eight largest churches in the United States, as well as the third largest in California.

In 1990, Laurie began holding public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Since that time, nearly 3 million people have attended Harvest Crusades in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Australia.

As well as being the featured speaker on the nationally syndicated radio program, A New Beginning, Laurie has authored numerous books, including Every Day with Jesus and the Gold Medallion Award winner, The Upside-Down Church. He also has authored study notes for two Bibles in the New Living Translation: the New Believer's Bible and The Seeker's Bible. His books have been translated into many languages, including Korean, Latvian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Laurie serves on the board of directors of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse, among others. He and his wife Cathe have two children and reside in Southern California.

Is the end of the world near? What will happen after I die? What is the meaning of my life? You've got questions; Greg Laurie has biblical answers on "A New Beginning."

Frank Eiklor [like it 21Sep2001] Assignment Frontlines

Frank Eiklor is the founder and president of Shalom International Outreach. A Bible teacher, leader in world missions and broadcaster for some 40 years now Frank was raised in a Midwest home where hatred and bigotry toward Jews and other minorities were accepted and promoted. His life was changed forever during his service as a U.S. Marine on the island of Okinawa. It was there that he met and accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Later Frank worked some 20 years in world missions traveling to eighty countries. At the end of this period in 1980 he was stunned to witness anti-Semitism right in the Greater Boston area that he called home. This time changed the course of Frank's ministry and began a long journey that would take him into the history of the Jews, the Church's legacy of hate, the Holocaust, and today's new waves of hatred against Jews. Along the way he earned a Ph.D. from Western Institute of Theology, with a concentration in theological and historical anti-Semitism. This journey has given birth to the ministry of Shalom International and its radio broadcast, Assignment Frontlines.

The name "Assignment Frontlines" is very descriptive! Listeners are encouraged to fortify their faith and step up to the front-lines of spiritual battle; to put their faith into action letting God's love flow through them to a world in desperate need. Teaching topics are grounded in the Word, and include the Judeo roots of Christianity, examples to live by from the Old and New Testaments, practical devotional insights for day to day living, and prophetic signposts of the end-time.

BAPTIST BIBLE HOUR [traditional preaching] Lasserre Bradley, Jr *********************************************************** [Good Q&A] Beverly LaHaye Today

As a woman with more honors and awards than can be listed, Beverly LaHaye raised her family before tackling the broader problems of society. Since then, she has become a best-selling author and an activist respected by friends and foe alike for her principled stands on issues.

Mrs. LaHaye once said, "When you’re talking about family issues, women can be very strong, very tough . . . The average American woman has endurance and is willing to give of herself for what she believes is right." Since that time, Mrs. LaHaye has proved very strong and tough and she has given of herself for the causes that she believes are right. In the process, she has become one of the most admired women in America.

One of the earliest motivators propelling her from her comfortable life as a pastor’s wife and family-life seminar leader with her husband, was the realization that feminists were claiming to speak for all women when their ideas and values were abhorrent to the majority of American women. Since a kitchen-table discussion about the things that troubled them 20 years ago, Concerned Women for America has grown from half a dozen "concerned" women to a powerful organization that now numbers close to 600,000 members.

Dr. James Boice The Bible Study Hour

Dr. James Montgomery Boice, speaker on The Bible Study Hour radio broadcast since 1969, served as Senior Minister of Philadelphia's historic Tenth Presbyterian Church from 1968 until his death in 2000. The broadcast continues to air his messages, starting in 1969.

Under Dr. Boice, Tenth Presbyterian Church became a model for evangelical ministry in America's cities. He also gave leadership to groups beyond his own church and organization, including the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy and Bible Study Fellowship.

He also founded and chaired an annual lay theology conference, Philadelphia Conference on Reformation Theology, which has run continuously for 28 years and has brought in-depth study of major biblical doctrines to thousands of people.

In 1994 Dr. Boice joined with other evangelical leaders in founding the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, which in 1996 sponsored a Summit meeting in Cambridge, Massachusetts, of more than 100 evangelical leaders. Out of that meeting came "The Cambridge Declaration," a document calling Christians to repent of their cultural worldliness and to recover the great salvation doctrines of the Bible as the Reformers did in the sixteenth century. This organization now produces The Bible Study Hour and The White Horse Inn radio programs, Modern Reformation and God's Word Today magazines, and sponsors many conferences and seminars.

A prolific author, Dr. Boice wrote or contributed to over sixty books on a wide variety of biblical and theological themes. His 4-volume commentary on Romans was named one of the best books of the twentieth century. Other popular titles include Standing on the Rock, The Parables of Jesus, The Christ of Christmas, Christ's Call to Discipleship...

Dr. Boice held degrees from Harvard University (A.B.), Princeton Theological Seminary (B.D.), the University of Basel, Switzerland (D. Theol.) and the Theological Seminary of the Reformed Episcopal Church (D.D., honorary).

Chuck Colson [good] BreakPoint

Twenty-five years ago, Charles W. Colson was not thinking about reaching out to prison inmates or reforming the U.S. penal system. In fact, this aide to Richard Nixon was "incapable of humanitarian thoughts," according to the media of the mid-seventies. Colson was known as the White House "hatchet man," a man feared by even the most powerful politicos during his four years of service to President Nixon. When news of Colson's conversion to Christianity leaked to the press in 1973, the Boston Globe reported, "If Mr. Colson can repent of his sins, there just has to be hope for everybody." Colson would agree. He admits he was guilty of political "dirty tricks" and willing to do almost anything for the cause of his president and his party.

Chuck Colson is considered one of America's leading authorities on the causes of and responses to crime. He has addressed nearly half the state legislatures in America and has met with a majority of governors. He is a syndicated columnist and has contributed articles to magazines and newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Washington Post and the Chicago Tribune. Colson provides a daily radio commentary to a weekly listening audience of three million people and is a sought-after speaker. Born Again, Colson's first book, was published in 1976 and became an international bestseller. Since then, he has written 37 other books, whose royalties he donates to Prison Fellowship. Chuck's latest book, "How Now Shall We Live?" released in summer 1999, equips Christians to articulate the truth of the gospel, live it accordingly, and give a defense of the truth to unbelievers

********************************************************** GRAND OLD GOSPEL [With a drama intro, quite slow, evangelical] Dr. B. Sam Hart and Tony Hart Dr. B. Sam Hart is responsible for the birth and conception of the Grand Old Gospel Fellowship. The idea was conceived in 1953 while he was a junior in Gordon College in Boston, MA. Seeing the need for Bible Churches, and observing the lack of them among the Black population, the idea of Church Planting was conceived, which gave birth to a Bible Study in his home, and which became Roxbury Gospel Chapel by 1955, and is still functioning. By an urgent invitation Dr. Hart and his wife Joyce were transplanted from Boston to Philadelphia. The spiritual needs seemed greater in Philadelphia, and he and his wife set out to meet them. God blessed their efforts, and in 1960 The Grand Old Gospel Fellowship was formed and incorporated in 1961.

Tony Hart was born in 1954 to home missionary parents Dr. & Mrs. B. Sam Hart. He was born in Boston and the family moved to Philadelphia while Tony was still in pre-school. As the son of an evangelist and church planter, Tony was exposed to many areas of ministry from his youth. He has seen churches begin in living rooms, preached in large area wide crusades, been involved in camping, served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor, over a period of more than 25 years in ministry. He has experience in radio station management, program production, and syndication, as well as serving as an associate minister with his father on the Grand Old Gospel Hour. Tony has served since 1992 as the pastor of the Montco Bible Fellowship in Lansdale, PA. He was married in 1977 to Carol, his partner and the love of his life. They have four children, a daughter and three sons, who have each made a profession of faith in Christ. He has earned an undergraduate degree in Bible form the Philadelphia College of Bible and completed a Masters of Divinity at the Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield PA, where he now serves as an adjunct Professor in the practical theology department.

Josh McDowell Radio

While a college student in the early '60s, Josh McDowell was challenged by a group of Christian students to examine the claims of Christianity.

Josh was sure that Christianity was worthless, but accepted the challenge. He focused his energy on discrediting the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Instead, he discovered compelling historical evidence for the reliability of the New Testament and the Resurrection.

He was convinced intellectually, but struggled with the idea of giving control of his life over to Jesus. One night, unable to sleep, Josh asked Christ to come into his life and forgive his sins.

In the months following that decision, Josh noticed a change in his life. The biggest area of change was in his relationship with his father - the town alcoholic. Josh's hatred for him turned to love by the power of God at work in his life.

Soon after, he began speaking at churches and evangelistic meetings. In 1964, after going to Talbot Theological Seminary, Josh joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. His Campus Lecture Series began in 1970, and soon after Josh began publishing books and recording his talks on tape.

Today, Josh is a popular youth speaker, having spoken to more than seven million young people in 84 countries, including 700 university and college campuses. Josh has authored or co-authored 52 books. He also has a weekly radio and television show.

Josh and his wife Dottie have been married for more than 25 years and have four children. They live in Dallas, home of the Josh McDowell Ministry.

Leading the Way [Good]

Since before he was born, it is evident that God had a vision for Michael Amerhome Youssef. Even the name his parents gave him, Michael, means "messenger of God," and pointed to his destiny of ministry.

His mother's life was jeopardized by the birth, and the doctor recommended terminating the pregnancy. An abortion procedure was scheduled. But God intervened, and sent the family pastor to reassure them that God was involved in this pregnancy, not to be afraid, and that this child would be "born to serve the Lord." Michael's parents accepted the pastor's message as a message from God and obeyed. His mother gave birth, and lived to see him surrender his life to the Lord in 1964 at age sixteen.

Believing that God was calling him, Michael sought a rare exit visa to leave the country. God intervened again and miraculously provided the passport. He immigrated to Australia, where he studied at Moore Theological College in Sydney, was ordained as a minister, and met and married his wife, Elizabeth.

The Youssefs came to America in 1977 where Michael received a master's degree in theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. He later earned a doctorate in social anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Michael served for nearly ten years with the Haggai Institute, traveling around the world more than 32 times, teaching courses in evangelism and church leadership to church leaders.

The family settled in Atlanta, and in 1984, Michael became a United States citizen. He founded The Church of The Apostles in 1987 with fewer than 40 adults with the mission to "Equip the Saints and Seek the Lost.", which has grown to a congregation of nearly 2000.

While leading the church Dr. Youssef launched this international radio ministry and authored 13 books, the most recent being "The Prayer That God Answers". Dr. Youssef receives no compensation for his time, nor does he receive royalties from the sale of any of his materials. ICQ 130060165

******************************************** http://www.ldsworld.com/site/display/0,3940,39616,00.html Q. Where are earthquakes most likely to happen?

A. Earthquakes are most likely to occur where tectonic plates are pushing against each other. The margins of the Pacific plate are very close to the margins of the Pacific ocean--the so-called 'ring of fire' that takes in Japan, the Philippines, the Aleutians, California, Mexico and the Andes of South America. Here, great numbers of earthquakes occur.

The margins of the African plate and the Australian plate follow a similar pattern. Their edges are marked mountain belts and volcanism. We find high intensity earthquake zones along the Pyrenees, the Alps, and the Alpine Himalayan chain, as well as down into Singapore and Malaysia. These are all places where the plates are colliding.

********************************************************** MESSIANIC MESSAGES [Good] Marty Cohen

Like Jewish men have for centuries, Marty Cohen sought a relationship with the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And, like thousands of Jewish men and women have, he found that relationship through a personal relationship with the promised Messiah of Israel--Yeshua Ha Moshiach, Jesus the Messiah.

Since 1984, Marty has shared the Jewish roots of Christianity with Churches, Sunday School classes, and Home Fellowship groups across North Texas and beyond. Revealing the Messiah in the Feast of Passover over 200 times, Marty eloquently sheds bright Jewish light on difficult to understand passages of scripture from both the Old & the New Testaments of G-d's Holy Word.

********************************************************** Bro. C. Parker Thomas [Daily Service Recording] Midnight Cry

The ministry God has given to His children through Bro. C. Parker Thomas has spanned almost half a century...His experiences included life in an orphanage, tuberculosis, a bad auto accident that all but took his life and brought about terrible suffering, as well as the heartache of the broken home. God had a great design in all of these experiences, however. Among other things, they served to soften and prepare his heart for the ministry that lay ahead, though he was not aware of it at the time. The things he has gone through have given Bro. Thomas a great compassion and understanding of others in the difficult things they experience in this life...God was in control and was separating him from the systems and traditions of men that He might teach him and prepare him to give forth a greatly needed message to help prepare the Elect for the coming of Christ.
