JD's position is: man has no choice; God fix some man to be saved and others to be destroyed. My position is: Salvation is God's idea and will, and not through man's effort and aspiration to achieve, which cannot save him. Man has to choose to be saved in and through Christ or to be destroyed. Whenever man chooses to be saved in and through Christ by the work of the Holy Spirit, we can attribute this to God's election and there is nothing that man can boast. So, if a brother or sister says, "Hey, I found God!" You can gently remarked: "Hey, it's God who found you!" If he rejects Jesus, the Bible says he is already condemned because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Jn 3:17,18). Jesus DID NOT CONDEMN him, but HE IS BRINGING HIMSELF under condemnation or under God's wrath by not believing in Jesus.
I maintain that God did not fix man's decision; He has perfect knowledge of man's decision to accept or reject Jesus. Man has the responsibility to choose to be saved in and through Jesus.
