maybe the RC was right, layman can't be trusted to interpret the WORD in correct context and need Church Guidance eom (Little Man of God)
Is this the reason how the Protestants came about because layman were not allowed to read the Bible? Please advise. eom. (Ivan)

The original Apostles were unique in that they had the authority directly from Christ and theirs was indeed the word of God. Nobody else can make this claim after them. Scriptures says that anyone who adds to their Prophecies will have the plagues added to them. Hence revelation is closed and all present claims to "new" revelation and "prophecies" must be treated as not form the Lord. The Holy Spirit will not contradict the written Scriptures since it was He who spoke through the mouth of the Prophets. So anything "new" must be from false prophets. Bye Bye: |
