None HOLINESS WITHOUT COMPASSION IS UTTER RUBBISH

Forum: Messageboard
Date: 2001, Nov 25
From: Redeemed

We always hear messages calling for holiness and disciple-making but seldom one on compassion.

If we can't learn or ask for anointing in compassion from our dear Lord Jesus, how can we ask for holiness ?

I have been in so many English congregations and when people of low mentality and low illiteracy join in discussion or cell group, I can sense the well-off members of these groups feeling uncomfortable. Others are being more blunt thinking that they WILL LEARN NOTHING from these people and they feel nothing intellectually stimulating. How sad ! By feeling so, we have actually learnt NOTHING from our dear Lord !

Because of our compassion anointed by Christ which ultimately lead these underprivieged people to Christ, we can be certain that they will love God more.

We cannot say so absolutely if people are "led to Christ" through charismatic preaching, peer pressure and media means.

Let's encourage one another to good works.
