I know this is a new thought, that is why I asked it a a question.
I don't know if the prophets function fully covers the function I have in mind. Maybe it does. maybe it doesn't. I also don't necessarily think that God has to tell it to us in the 5 fold ministry. You mean there is no other ministry out side of it ? far from it. All I know is that there is a place for the following functions and if there is a office of function to do that, No one seems to be doing it effectively. -To warn of false doctrines -To keep watch over all 'new' emerging theories to check with the scriptures regularly ( while our brothers/sisters are just interrested to be drunk and experience God ) -To pray and ask for guidence for the universal church of God.. -To seek to clarify the apprent mis-understandings within different groups of churches Maybe these functions are parts of may functions we already know. For example, a pastor is supposed to do some of them, a teacher some others...etc ?????? It might be a function of every believer also ???? -JD
