I haven't read any of Harry Porter's books nor seen the show but under the cloke of quoting Scriputres left and right and so called holiness is there a fear of such things or not? That is the crux of the matter. If there is fear, then my assertion still remains that one should do something about it. But if one enjoys being in such bondage then nobody can do anything but to leave such people alone. On the other hand if one thinks seeing such shows is not a worthwhile or profitable thing to do then it is a different matter. So the real issue is not Harry Porter but fear or phobia. The decision should of course be left to the sufferer as to whether he wants to be free from fears and phobias or not. If Harry Porter's film is so objectionable how come the christian community here did not make any representation to the authorities like they did when "Jesus Christ Superstar" was shown years ago. Or did they? |
