think about it... we Christians created witchcraft (as per figures riding on broomsticks) out of our fanciful imaginations, feeding it with our fears and then we start bashing it.
Remember the days of the witch hunts, with the political and social instabilities, we Christians had to find scapegoats, to shift the blame on the others. How we targetted innocent practitioners of shamanistic religions, usually women, those that we disliked, women who were single, with less than common personalities, people who were different from us; and then from our fantasies created caricatures of old women dabbling with the devil, riding on broomsticks and conjuring spells. Remember how we forced these women to admit to acts that existed only in these fantasies so we could hang them. If there is anything, Christians should repent of such unjust persecutions rather than raise a hackle over innocent children's books. I think we should redirect our energies against mindless fundamentalism rather imaginative literature. We have enough a bad reputation already.
