BEAR WITH ME as i explain. I HATE IT WHEN WE ARE ALL SHARING THE SAME CONCERN but there seems to be some frictions in the discussion. I feel resentment surfacing from the discussion : ( I totally agreed that foolish fears will open the doors to the devil and his gang. I have no problem with that. Listen me out. How do you feel about pre-martial sex ? A friend recently told me that despite all the hype and warnings over Harry Potter and stuff, she went ahead to watch and she said she enjoyed the movie alot. She didn't see any bad thing about it. I was just thinking, the same girl can be saying, despite all the hype and warnings over pre-martial sex, she went ahead and do it and she enjoyed it very much and will do it again, she did not see anything wrong about it and it didn't feel wrong and she's not hurting anyone. Maybe ur issue and our issues are different but I believe both are raised with regards and for the benefits of the growth of christians. maybe if I am not wrong, our issue is that there is a desensition process that could be happening in the media in preparing for the last days where witchcraft is rampant and acceptable. How did the pre-martial sex acceptability come about ? I believe the media and tv and movies play a part in imparting values and bring abouta culture. Infact, I believe many young christians need to be convinced that pre-martial sex is wrong because it is the norm to them, just as natural as talking . It's just the sharing of love expressed in the physical world. However good it feel, however right it feel (people always say if it feel so good, and feel like heaven, it just can't be wrong, can it?) God's words says it's wrong and that's that. I do not know whether there are any demons involved in the movie or the book like some claim there is. All i know is the the younger generation could be in the process of being prepared to accept spirituality and the occult as normal. Yes, witches and wizards may have been wrongly protrayed to have that funny hats etc and yes, maybe in the past some has been thought to be witches but isn't really and wrongly burnt at the stakes by over-zealous christians. What is NIV Deut 18:10-12 trying to tell us ?? Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. Or is the bible passage out of touch with reality. Cast spells ? got such things may, it's just kids' imagination. What is this sorcery that in Acts talk about ? Acts 19:18 -20 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds. A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas. In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power. What is these magic arts that now in the 21st century context could Revelation 9:21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. Just that it feel so ok and normal to engage in pre-martial sex for the large number of people in the world, the time is coming soon with CHARMED,SABRINA and Harry Potter etc, it will be the norm to engage in a religion that deals. What do we do with the devil's schemes ? OR IS THERE NO SUCH THINGS, WE ARE JUST TALKING COCK AND CREATING THOUGHTS OUT OF HARMLESS THINGS ? Eph 6:11 -12 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
