<<<You say: "The stranger truth is that, many adults seem to think that by following a certain set of formulas in doctrine and practice, wealth, health and total freedom from temporal suffering is assured to them, while those who are not similarly blessed are like Muggles who have not the faith in this "magic". >>>
The issue here is witchcraft and when God calls it an abomination, you better know what it means. It is detestable to God and it is non-negotiable. You cannot alter it by whatever ingenious human rationalisation. It is not a certain set of formulas in doctrine and practice as you made it out to be, but it is set out by Almighty God and it is cast in stone. We have given quite a good beating on the subjects of health and wealth in this forum. If you are so interested, please help yourself. <<<You say: Even worse, others are into the thinking that the combination of God's love and faith is barely sufficient for eternal life, and that to be assured of such, one must practice every ritual and act prescribed in the old rulebook that has already been superceded, as well as forsake any habit, preference or thought that could be remotely be regarded as having the power to deny one entry through the pearly gates. If this be not bewitchement, I know not what it is." >>> I am bewildered that you mislabel such teachings which are completely and tenaciously taught by Apostles Paul, Peter, James and John in the NT whose epistles provide a true, new guidebook on holy Christian living and you have succumbed to this bewitchment done so cleverly by devil himself to presume upon the grace of God and to cheapen grace and even turning away (forsaking) from God's holy commandment (2 Pet 2:21,22). My friend, are you delighting in the law of God (Rom 7:22), after having believed and tasted the love of God? You tend to misrepresent us by saying that "we are saying salvation is by man's effort or self-righteousness" which we do not subscribe to. Please do not resurrect this subject. If you are so interested, please help yourself.
