Hi Jules, I don't know how long you have been out of job..maybe longer than me...but I've been out of job for very long (say more than 8 mths) and it was torturous...i asked the same question like you... Yet knowing that i've to give thanks in all circumstances...I give thanks..and prayed even harder...until i'm able to do QT everyday (quite a feat for me)..and as the days go on, i come to a point that I"m willing to take almost any job, surrender or desperate? Maybe both. And then, the job comes..i think if not for that 8mths..i would not have been prepared to take it up b'cos of feelings of inadequacy or b'cos of not surrendering. So my question is.."are you willing to take watever job God calls you to?" or do you just want to do wat you want only. Or "are you praying daily?" (You may be, i'm just suggesting only) How close is your walk with God? Ultimately, our highest calling is to have an intimate relationshiop with God..more than what we do (career etc). Hope this helps.. Anne |

A good answer. At least there is some sympathy and understanding. Good. by Interested , 2001, Dec 08
