are you addressing this to me or what post are you really replying to. Anyway... You don't need any deliverance nor Excorcism, but only wake up the sense of letting things that are fine and good, that God is pleased already, be it. ++I'm not too sure about that. Maybe you need to open your eyes a bit more to see beneath the numbers every Sunday. You are blameless, for the serpent is the one, our God cares about our faith, hope and charity, not how are we gathered, in a building or house....is God so petty? No, he may be laughing at us for debating over Church and building issues! Lolz! ++Was God being petty with the Israelites in the book of Leviticus by giving detailed laws? Was God being petty with Moses in instructing that he build according to the pattern? Look, it is not God, it is us. Let's not turn our own shortcomings and project it onto God. I would not make light of God's church. FYI, it is not me who will have to argue over what property to buy, at what price, where to buy, how much to borrow, how to raise funds, what contractor to look for, how many parking lots to provide for, what's the colour of the walls, the size of the benches, what name to give to the church, how big the SP's office should be, etc. I am more concerned with the church as people, not church as building. Rather I think God would laugh at the amount of time, money and energy His people spent debating over the specifics of having a church building! We should use our resource that we have, "The Church Building" to use it to the maximum in ordeto achieve God's commission in Redemption! ++We should use our resources for the preaching of the Gospel and the raising up of churches (and by churches I mean people not buildings) and the relief of the needy among God's people. That's how the NT church used their resources and they serve as examples for us. With millions of dollars poured into a building meant for hundreds and thousands of people (and more as interest is being paid on loans) and closed six days a week and only opened a few hours a week with perhaps a few people using it as an office from 9 to 5, you call that using resources to the max? Who are you kidding? Think about this, normally for us Catholics, we church hop every mth, depending which church is nearer to us at that moment, as long its a Catholic church, we can just conveniently hop in for a Mass. ++You know what, think about this. For us, we just drop by into another's home and have a meal, and still have the Lord's Supper. There's no need to dress up, nor does there need to have a priest to purposely dress up for this occasion. We just meet as a family would do (unlike you who would probably see total strangers every month with the church hops). But again, it's not about which is more convenient. At the heart of it is theology. There is simply no biblical basis for the RCC mass. |
