I think the real issue is in the resurrection of Jesus which Christianity stands or falls with it. The real difficulty is in understanding the divine plan of salvation. Humanly speaking, it doesn't make sense, from the fall of mankind to the salvation of mankind. There is more rationality in man's ideology and philosophy than to simply accept the divine plan of salvation for the salvation of mankind.
One thing I have not been able to reconcile all these years of sojourning on this planet Earth before my conversion to Christianity is the fact that man is born to die. We are created in the image of God and in Him dwells immortality and eternity. I want and expect to live eternally in body, soul and spirit with the Creator. I also cannot envisage that Hell is meant for me for I am created in the image of God till I discover the truth that Hell is created for the devil and his followers. I thank God, the Creator of the whole universe and mankind that it only takes one to believe in Jesus Christ who was incarnated, crucified and resurrected to save me from being destroyed with the devil in Hell. JESUS was born to die in man's place but He overcame death through His resurrection so that man will live forevermore. We have to come in God's terms because the plan of salvation and salvation belong to Him. JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM. If it is through man's effort, maybe only the rich, the religious, the charismatic, the powerful, the talented, the strong-willed, the philosopher, the thinker, the well-educated, the professor, the academic, the athletic can make it to Heaven. But thank God, it is by simply trusting in Jesus who alone qualifies to bring us back to the Father for Jesus came from the Father who is in Heaven. There is no resurrection in other religions. JESUS is the RESURRECTION and the life. By His resurrection and by trusting in Him, I can now reconcile the fact that man is born to live and not to die eternally. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
