Interested has done well to provide the rough details. On the issue of baptism, Methodists Pastors believe that baptism is only done once. i.e. if you were infant baptised, you would not receive baptism when you are 17 years of age or older. Instead, you shall be confirmed as a member of the Methodist Church. Confirmation is meant for all those who are either transferring their membership from other Christian Churches and were baptised while they were in their previous Churches or were baptised as an infant. People requiring confirmation have to undergo a session called Baptism/Confirmation Class. They will attend this course along with people who will be baptised. For your information, God be with you and your boyfriend. royston |
