I have a question which I hope to have some insight.
Can a Christian question the appropriateness of certain rules and regulations in a church (not questioning whether they are right or wrong) and not be seen as a troublemaker ? For example, if a certain church decides to charge $2 for church attendance. They can consider waiving the $2 if you are poor but you have to prove you are poor or at least you must mention that you cannot afford to pay the $2. They insist the $2 is for lunch and adminstrative expenses. The above is just an example for discussion sake. Obviously we have to respect the rules and regulations set by that church but here we are talking about appropriateness. Please remember if you argue strongly against such rule and regulation, you are always politely told that perhaps this church is not meant for one like you to attend.
