Re: Question CHURCH RULES AND REGULATION

If it is God's church, Scriptures will be the basis for how things are done. And one thing for sure, life in Christ in the early church was the only pre-requisite for participation into church life, no more, no less.

On the other hand, there are man-made rules meant to include and exclude. Even though the intentions are good (supposedly) few, if any at all, are able to demonstrate any biblical basis for them (and if they do, it is mostly tortured exegesis). They are simply there for organisation's sake and to keep things "decently and in order", according to their own opinion. Sometimes you wonder whether man set those rules or God set those rules (you can't seem to find them in the Bible), but man surely insist they are following God!

Interestingly, Interested has asked that you seek out a historic church. That's a point well noted. Take out the Bible and see for yourself what the NT teaches about church (you can't go any more historic than the first century church!) and join yourself to a fellowship who is committed to following Christ the NT way.
