RTC, I don't understand your question. Are you saying that a non-believer can or cannot honour God? Your replies contradict each other. ++By a nonbeliever honoring God I mean the superficial acknowledgement of a higher power at work e.g. someone amazed at an answered prayer or a miracle. Kind of like what Jesus said when others can see your good works and give God the glory (Matt 5:16). Such an acknowledgement is temporary and not life-changing, and does not proceed out of a regenerated life in Christ. And neither can a nonbeliever worship God, because he does not have the life of Christ in him, allowing him to enter into God's presence with confidence. The nonbeliever is still dead in his sins, and until he has come to a saving faith in Christ, any form of "honor" or "worship" given is not those that God seeks after. But this is really sidetracking the original issue. ++I think it is a fundamental question that needs answering first. Simple question asked: Name a non-charismatic church in Jurong West. ++In turn I gave a biblical answer: the Bible knows nothing of a non-charismatic church. Like I said earlier, I do not take this to mean the current understanding of the term "charismatic" associated with charismatic churches. Simple answer required: ++I will let someone else answer that question. Otherwise you can simply search the church directory handbook and choose one of your liking. Nevertheless, it is important that you first see what the NT teaches about the church and make your decision based on that. |
