"So, are you saying Christ died for those who will end up in hell also, because of thier faith ? "
No...i think yr statement seems misleading here...i'm saying there should be faith in Christ for God to justify the sinners as Rom 3:26 says. Why "because of their faith?" in yr statement? "Did Christ die for ALL my sins ? Is unbelief a sin ? If so did He die for my unbelief? If He did die for ALL my sins, it should also include my sin of unbelief... Then why do some still end up in hell for the unbelief ? " Christ did die for ALL the sins of mankind as you have quoted in 1 John. If the verse is straightforward...have to accept the statement as it is. But what make the difference between sinners saved and sinners unsaved is this : how do we receive the righteousness of God imputed to us in Christ? Those who did not receive the righteousness (through faith) that comes from God (Rom 3:22; 5:17), since all have sinned and become sinners by nature, cannot be 'made right' and are still in their sins, unless they are reconciled to God (Rom 5:10) by believing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and appropriating what Christ has accomplished for them. Another verse to look at re the need for faith is Rom 5:1,2 "Therefore having been jsutified by faith we have peace with God through our lord Jesus Christ, through WHOM also we have obtained our introduction by FAITH into this grace in which we stand..."
