I cannot disagree with you. It is also our desire in this forum to see that we all learn from our mistakes. You say "If they speak the truth"... what if it isn't the truth, or only part of the truth, and the other party cannot defend it for themselves, wouldn't they and their ministry be hurt by it? Let's take an example. John Doe claims that certain leaders have prophesied that "This is the Harvest time. We strongly believe that by Dec. 22 the whole of Singapore will experience an unprecidented revival and Singapore will be Won for Christ". Yet, the leaders of many denominations have heard from Love Singapore at a meeting in St Andrew's in early 2001, clearly declaring that the 2001 Harvest was not prophecy from God. I am not saying that John Doe is wrong in his concerns, I am raising the issue of whether he really wants to pursue the issue with this accusation. As you have suggested, the problem is precisely the fact that we are not infallable. Therefore, if an accusation is made, it could do more damage to all involved if it is only partially true. Now, if we speak the Truth, the leaders seeing will have to decide whether we speak the Truth or they are still in the Truth and we the false ones. Let them decide and let the sheep who see this decide as well. Again, I wish to re-iterate that I have no problem with this. I only ask that if you know that it is the Truth, be willing to identify yourself. My only suggestion is that we be gentle in speaking the truth. Proverbs 20:28 Mercy and truth preserve the king, And by lovingkindness he upholds his throne.
