Esp, the term APOSTLE GURU.
I have been thinking about such copycat attempts of other sciences and faiths even in the Christian world. I attended some talks on FENGSHUI. I am indeed surprised that the audience is mostly tertiary educated. Why? Because there is a flaming desire to strike it rich if it only take a change of environment which one can fulfil easily. There are so many variables in this "science" - 5 elements, 4 direction, DOB, YOB, etc. So it is NOT difficult to find 2 or 3 variables to substantiate the occurrence of "good" or "bad" events which happened. But for one "converted", he would "believe" whatever he would like to "hear". Another example is the pilgrimage to Kushu Island. With tens of thousands pilgrims and everyone buying 4-D lottery, surely there will be winners of the top 3 prizes and will be "advertised" the following year to fuel the belief and such hype will spread like wildfire. So don't be surprised if churches "advertised" successful enterpreneurs among them or they stay very close to universities for future success stories just like what the insurance agents would like to target. We should pray for the "4th kind of seeds" always in our churches because having tens of thousands of "2nd kind of seeds" is meaningless - those who are happy for a while but without any root, they wither away.
